Double Chocolate Banana Nice Cream

YOU GUYS.  I found thee tastiest "dessert" recipe EVER.  It is healthy, filling, super sweet, and just plain good.  Plus- it's so easy to make, and only takes a couple ingredients.  Are you ready?!?

So I originally got the recipe here but just modified it because I didn't want to make as much as they did and I didn't want to add any protein powder.  I need to improve my photography skills because mine in no way turned out to look like theirs:

BUT... I do know that it tasted AMAZING.

Don't judge, but here is my "work of art":

Sadly, my pictures turned out horrible.  I'll have you know- it tastes WAY better than it looks in these pictures.  Do try this recipe because it seriously is so yummy.

Ingredients:

Nice Cream
2.5 frozen bananas
1/8 cup-1/4 cup almond milk (depends on consistency you like)
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 dates

Chocolate Hard Shell
1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
1 tablespoon cocoa powder

Directions:

1. Add cocoa powder to a small bowl and pour the melted coconut oil over it, stir until blended and set to the side.
2.  Put bananas and milk in your blender or food processor and blend until it reaches an ice-cream like consistency.  May take some time scraping down the edges of the blender but it will get there in a few minutes. You can eat it plain when it's at this step, but I wanted to add some beloved chocolate to my recipe.
3.  Add in cocoa powder and cinnamon and blend.
4.  Add in chopped dates and blend one final time.  I like my dates chopped up pretty well so I blended for another minute or so.
5.  Transfer the nice cream to a bowl and drizzle the cocoa powder and coconut oil mixture over it.  The mixture should harden immediately and turn into a delicious, chocolatey, hard shell.
6.  Enjoy!

I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. There are so many different mixtures you can make with Bananas to make ice-cream.  I cannot wait to try more... :)

Makes two servings.

yum yum yum yum yum

No words needed.

Names are only so helpful--> but pictures! That's what draws people in.  Could be a memory of a time, or the feeling you get when you picture yourself in that situation.  The power of photography is huge . Pictures can take you back to a moment you had-- one that you could never go back and repeat, and it gives you joy.  Photography can also cause laughter, and quite frequently--embarrassment.  For those pictures, thankfully there is a delete button.  But compare this post to my last one.  Instead of the names of all of the cities and countries to visit on a Eurotrip , try pictures .  See if it entices you more.  These pictures correlate with the list of cities in my previous blogpost... but I will have to split it in half and show you the first fifteen in this post, the last 16 in the next.. :)

Typhoons, Tokyo, and Taylor Swift

We just went into TCCOR 1 ( T ropical C yclone C onditions o f R eadiness), which means destructive sustained winds of 50 knots or greater are expected within 12 hours... kind of scary,  but more so kind of exciting!  This will be our first typhoon that we are going through and as of now, I'm excited!  We've downloaded movies, have lots of snacks and water ready, and I get to spend time with the hubster... what more could I want?! ....  I wrote that last night. and now it's 7:30AM.  Nothing big happened last night, just kind of windy but nothing crazy.  SOOO Arthur and I both got ready for work this morning and just as I finished getting ready and was walking downstairs to my car, Arthur yelled for me to come back up.  We went into TCCOR 1C (Caution) which means no work for the two of us as of now!  YAY!!!

10 Reasons Why Japan is Wonderful

Japan is a very special, unique little place.  Well- it’s not THAT little. Especially when it holds a population of around 127 million.  But what makes Japan so great?  Because as soon as you step on their soil, you know there is something wonderful about the place.  I’ve compiled a list of interesting characteristics about Japan and its people that have captured my love for this foreign, hello-kitty loving, beautiful place.   CUSTOMER SERVICE.  I haven’t been somewhere that has such great customer service.  They will literally run to get you what you asked for, or run around to try and make sure that the customer is happy.  I once asked about a product in the grocery store and they ran to the back of the store, bagged up what I needed, and ran it back to me in under two minutes. 2.       CUSTOMER SERVICE IN RESTAURANTS The customer service in restaurants is quite different than in the U.S.  Typically, they hav...
